12 companies from Akhisar participated in the International Food Products and Technologies Expo (WorldFood), which opened its doors for 27 times. At the fair, which hosted more than 100 foreign buyers, local brands were displayed in cooperation with Akhisar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Akhisar Commodity Exchange.

Ömer Çelenlioğlu from İpek Salça stated that Akhisar is also the main center in tomato paste production. Soner Erkasap from Alhatoğlu Olive Oil said, “We are the first choice of olive buyers with conscious production and good marketing”. Mehmet Ünlü, the representative of the Ünlü Tomato Paste, said that the interest was the result of hard work. Ahmed Alsaade of Brato Foods said that Akhisar is at the base of the export bridge.
